Leadership Profile

Mohamed Ali Janah is an internationally recognised Maldivian entrepreneur and developer with over 30 years of experience in resort, real estate, and infrastructure development. He is the Chairman of JIH and the Group Chairman of Hotels and Resorts Investment Maldives (HARIM), and has led the delivery of landmark projects that have become benchmarks for quality and excellence in the Maldives and beyond.

He holds several prominent leadership and advisory roles, including as Special Advisor to UN Tourism, Global Advisory Council Member and Maldives Country Chair of the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CWEIC), President of the Maldives National Association of Construction Industry (MNACI), and President of the National Federation of Maldivian Employers (NFME). He also serves as Honorary Consul General of Hungary in the Maldives.

Mr. Janah has received numerous recognitions, including the Maldives National Award of Recognition (2017), Maldives Entrepreneur of the Year (2018), and international awards for excellence in construction and tourism.
